Join our client in the music capital of the South to work as CADD Operator. Our client, a leader in freightcar manufacturing, is looking for two new CADD Operators to join their Shoals team. The ideal candidate will have a one-year certification from a college or technical school and at least three months of related experience. A combination of experience and education will also be accepted. He or she will have a vast knowledge of drafting and blueprint interpretation as well as a complete understanding of Computer Assisted Design Software. He or she will be able to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and reports. The CADD Operators will be required to speak in front of groups, be they customers or employers, and have the ability to calculate interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume. He or she will understand algebra and geometry and be able to apply these skills to every day problems. Does this sound like the perfect job for you? These drawings will incorporate stock size, weld symbols and fastener types, sizes and quantities. The chosen candidates will work with other employees to ensure the drawings are cohesive with the freightcar manufacturing standards. He or she will utilize all modules of AutoCAD and Pro-Engineer software. Fluency in the Intralink database is also key. This job will operate on a deadline basis. All drawings and projects must be completed by the assigned date. During the manufacturing process, the CADD Operator will attend the turntable tests. To ensure project accuracy, he or she will use AAR standards to evaluate completed projects.
