We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CMM Operator/Programmer with the ability to run and program a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for our QA group located in Tupelo, MS. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilizes PC-DMIS to create programs that ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory guidelines (Military Standards, ASTM and ANSI, and ASME Code). Measures complex components using PC-DMIS to validate engineering and customer specifications. Interprets technical documentation such as blueprints and engineering specifications. Transfers CAD generated drawings into measurement programs. Performs 1st article, in-process and final inspections of products. Prepares and leads production, programming and quality documentation. Develops operator efficiencies related to inspection program execution. Works concurrently with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and customers to identify and resolve issues. May witness tests and may perform internal and external surveillances of testing and production activities in-house and at supplier's facilities. May perform and witness Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Processes including, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, Liquid Penetrant, and Visual Inspection. May prepare, update and maintain calibration computer databases. May interact with and provide responses to regulatory agencies and customers during their audits. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May coordinate the procurement of standard materials, services and parts for inspections.
