Managing overall “tool feasibility” of all the new parts coming out of design;
Providing technical support and guidance to achieve successful tool launches;
Attending Design Review meetings to review product design for tool construction;
Supplying Program Management with tooling requirements for customer approval;
Traveling to tooling vendors for onsite questions and follow-up, when needed;
Participating in continuous improvement activities;
Staying current on state of the art tooling and processes.
EDUCATION: 4-year degree preferred; or 2-year or Journeyman.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
6+ years of related experience with a 4-year degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related disciplines;
8+ years of related experience with 2-year degree in tool and die technology;
6+ years of related experience and Journeymen Tool/Die Maker;
Automotive industry experience preferred;
Analytical, problem-solving, organizational and planning skills;
Technical writing skills;
Organizational, planning and computer skills (MS Office);
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
